Banks down for maintenance???
Just noticed that my bank is "down for maintenance" Saturday at midnight until sunday at 6am. Then I make my way over to ebenefits and see this message...

"The following features will be unavailable from Saturday, 20 July at 1900 to Sunday, 21 July at 2100 ET: Appeal Status, Benefits Explorer, C&P Claims Status, Download VA Letters, Find or View Your Power of Attorney Representative, Update Direct Deposit & Contact Information, VA Payment History, VONAPP Direct Connect (VDC). We apologize for any inconvenience."

Coincidence or continuation of the July 18th banking/govt drill???

Important update - our service availability19 Jul 13

We'll be carrying out some planned system work which means some services won't be available after 11pm Saturday 20 July through to the early morning of Sunday 21 July.

During this period:
- Internet Banking won't be available
- Telephone Banking will be operating a restricted service.

We're letting you know to help you manage your banking around the work.

Other services will continue as usual:
- Your Debit and Credit Cards will continue to work as normal
- You'll still be able to withdraw cash at our ATMs.

We're sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

That being said, WHY are you people still using banks? I don't understand the doublespeak when it comes to KNOWING the epic putrid that the banks are, yet you continue to use/feed them.
