Oh, in case you want to know what I drive now. I bought a 4x4 truck that sits up high and gets bad gas mileage.For me safety and being able to see were more important than the mileage, but I still would reccomend the Prius especially for city driving. I owned a 2010 Prius III and would highly reccomend it over the newer post Fukishima varities.
50+ miles per gallon consistantly and I drove it like a hot rod. It is super fast off the line because electric has way more torque than gas.
The only thing I didn't like is it sits so low to the ground. Because there are so many large SUV's on the road it is hard to see when one is in front of you.
