A lockdown at 12 Wing Shearwater was lifted after a report of an individual with a gun Monday afternoon.

By 3:30 p.m. Monday afternoon, police packed away their weapons left the scene after finding the threat was unsubstantiated.

Military police had received a call about a person with a gun, but don't know who that caller was.

A similar threat was reported at the base two weeks ago. At that time, the pool and gym at CFB Shearwater in Eastern Passage had to be evacuated, but no one with a gun was found
