[quote:Anonymous Coward 931632:MV8xMzIyMDQ3XzIxNjkzNjgzX0FFODk1QjIy] [quote:Smilin' Irish Eyes] OP, I hate to say this because I've generally been a fan of your posts, but that speech was revolting. That effeminate intern used his time in the spotlight to preach the leftist/statist agenda, to lionize the State, to espouse the view that people who work for the State or Leftist causes are better than people who don't. He used his time to indoctrinate a large audience to believe in the superiority of the Leftist State. Or he is just an idealistic 20 year old that still believes he can make a difference. This tragedy really hit home for me, although I lived in Phoenix, I know the Tucson area well. Know alot of people in that area and am very familiar with UMC. Perhaps I viewed this speech and Bam-Bam's through the rose colored glasses of my youth; wanting to see the good in the world shine through. I wasn't paying attention to the political rhetoric (although I did make snide comments when I saw Pukelosi, Crappy Nappy and Holder there). Just for this moment, this solemn event, I want to see beyond political ideals and see the gestures of kindness, recognize the good in others. :1dunno1: Just trying to shed some positive light on a very tragic event. Thanks for posting HL, I always respect your opinion. :hugs:
:shitstream:on you
This speech above all others tonight, really touched me.
This young man exemplifies the best in America; he quietly refuses any accolades and gave praise to others. Mrs. Hernandez, you raised a very humble gentleman...good job.
