[quote:Anonymous Coward 1230050:MV8xMzI1NDE1XzIxNzY2ODY2XzNGRkI1QTM3] [quote:Epic Beard Guy] When I was in elementary school, in the 50s and 60s, I went to school in Alabama, and Louisiana, in Alabama, I took a class called civics. We learned about the Constitution and how the government worked. Kids don't get that any more. I'm not too sure they ever did out side the deep south. I'm sad to say, where I work I try to educate my coworkers who seem to know nothing of the Constitution. I have a small copy of it on my desk, and it is getting worn out from all the people reading it. They want to learn, but who is teaching?
I was required to take Civics in high school in the mid-60s in SoCal. My kids took similar classes in their TX high school in the early-to-mid 90s. I don't know what's taught now.
The Intercollegiate Studies Institute polled 2500 people including 164 elected officials. 74% of Elected officials, and 71% of the general population failed the test. You can read the story here. [

I am embarrassed to say I only got 88%. Please take the test and post your scores to see how much smarter GLPers are than the Elected officials that are supposed to support the document they know so little about. You can take the quiz as many times as you want, but please post your first score hear.
To simplify the posting here is a poll.
