Hi, Isis One. :hf: Funny you should ask as I spent 2 hours looking at every CME from the SEEDS catalog back to Feb. 24th. I didn't see anything remotely Earth-directed. CACTus only went back to the 26th and nothing there worth noting. There was that B9 death gasp from 2805 on the 26th which did have a small CME. I didn't see anything Earth-directed. B9 flare from Lockheed CRUISER (Wha??): https://www.lmsal.com/cruiser/?data=https://sdowww.lmsal.com/sdomedia/ssw/media/ssw/ssw_client/data/ssw_service_210226_021111_18281_1/www/cruiser.json Here's best guess from STEREO A (SEEDS): http://spaceweather.gmu.edu/seeds/dailymkmovie.php?cme=20210226&r&cor2=a SEEDS Detection List: http://spaceweather.gmu.edu/seeds/realtime.php CACTus CME List: http://www.sidc.oma.be/cactus/out/latestCMEs.html
Hiya Hugh! I was thinking it might have been that little B9 floofer and they didn’t quite get the trajectory right.
An update as to the arrival time of this CME will be added once all data has been reviewed.
The X9.3 flare is the 14th largest X flare ever recorded!
On September 4th we had 7 M flares from fast growing sunspot 2673, with at least 1 large dense Earth directed CME. This CME will arrive late in the day on Wednesday September 6th.
There is now a 25% chance for X flares over the next 24hrs & 71% chance for M flares
We have a Long Duration M2.4 Solar Flare starting
01:05 UTC July 14th 2017
There was a full halo CME observed with this solar flare. The associated CME is Earth Directed. See discussion on the last page for all updates!
