Original Message I was just wiki'ing the modern British territories when I came across something called Ascension Island in the South Atlantic. With the name of the island as well as it's shape, i can't help but the strange happenings on the island in Lost....this blurb from wikipedia doesn't help:

"In order to enter Ascension Island, people need the written permission of the Administrator. There is no permanent residence. A contract of employment is a requirement to stay on the island,[20] though short term visits by tourists are possible with prior approval. The British government has asserted that there is no "right of abode" on Ascension Island"

not to harp on the Lost thing too much, but both are also volcanic.

so are there any theories out there about this mysteriously named isle?
