Diff August 28, 2017 Size: SINGLE|Verified Purchase If you're looking up Saccharomyces Boulardii, you may be currently trying to fight Clostridium Difficile Colitis (C. Diff). About a month ago, I was too. I'm only 25 and was taking Clindamycin after my oral surgery in May. The C. diff stemmed from this antibiotic; I'm certain. I rushed to an urgent care clinic when I first tested positive. I was given Flagyl, but got sick again. It worsened, and I ended up in the emergency room twice throughout the summer of 2017. I was finally referred to a GI Specialist. I was put on liquid Vancomycin (again), but he also recommended I find a probiotic with this very specific yeast in it. At this point, I was doubtful anything could save me. But I gave it a shot. I read some Yale studies on its success rate in killing C. Diff and immediately ordered this. While taking the Vancomycin and drinking a Synergy kombucha every day (which also contains this special yeast), I took one of these probiotics in the morning and one at night. Last week, I had a colonoscopy and was nearly in tears when my GI doctor said there's no trace of C. Diff in my intestines. Needless to say, I plan to take this probiotic every day for the rest of my life. I wouldn't wish C. Diff on my worst enemy. And if you're like me, and are struggling to get rid of it, consider ordering this probiotic. And remember, you're not alone in this fight. You WILL get better. _________________________________________________________ A couple years ago I was helping a family with an 85 year old with c dif,,,what a mess....told them to take these two,,,and it cleared up.......... the antiobiotics keep killing off the good guys in your gut,,,and the c dif takes advantage, which is why there are so many recurrences... :hf: [/quote]

I accidentally deleted the OP of this thread during some glitch issues on GLP this morning (10/30/17).
I will be posting some useful links in the next post to make it easier for those posting so you don't have to scroll through a massive OP. :)
I had to delete the first two comments on this thread to do so, but wanted to keep them so I've put them below.

I also would like to mention that I know this thread has MANY pages and that it can be somewhat intimidating to join/chime in on a long standing thread as a new member/AC (I've experienced it when I first joined GLP), but we are a VERY welcoming group to those who newly join us. We are a small family of sorts who are all mostly interested in the same earth-related topics (quakes/solar/volcanoes/weather/etc.) and share info on each of those topics as well as 'off-topic' discussions. We genuinely care for one another here and even when we do not agree with each other, we ALWAYS respect each other.
I truly enjoy when new folks join us here. All that I ask is to show respect. :)
