Yes. Garlic has anti microbial properties. Olives stuffed with garlic are a good way to get the combined benefits of fats, acids, salts and phytochemicals in a small package. Hmmm...Lestat did mention he loved garlic and had garlic wreaths adorning his house ;-) Gramma was a care-giver during the 1918 Influenza Pandemic. She said those who survived were NOT given the new wonder drug Bayer Asprin. Those who had the fevers run their course, being treated with vinegar water baths and Epsom Salt baths recuperated more quickly, too. I wonder how many people who are in hospital began treating the symptoms with acetaminophen and/or ibuprofen, possibly aspirin. Most of the cold/flu OTC products have ace, which is known to cause liver toxicity. Ibuprofen is known to cause kidney toxicity.
Garlic is a powerful, but indiscriminant antibiotic. It kills the 'good' flora and fauna in the body, as well as the 'bad'. Same when you use it on plants and bugs. I'd suggest colloidal silver is the best antiobiotic, both internally and externally. I was contributing to another thread (linked below) on the Madagascar pneumonic plague epidemic. It appears that this is really starting to spread.
There are many reported cases in/around Peru - one of which was a doctor who became infected after he was treating plague patients. It is unknown how many people he may have infected before he realized he was contagious.
There's also an unknown respiratory illness that's been reported near Houston, Texas (Montgomery County) which has resulted in 4 deaths thus far. Patients are said to have flu-like/pneumonia symptoms yet tested negative for the flu.
Here's the original thread:
Thread: NOW: Two PNEUMONIC plague cases have been found in Madagascar
I'll quote my comments below - and continue reporting any updates I find on this thread.
