Can't speak for the psychology of some unresolved conflict you have with your family, but below is a tried and true get back to sleep cure: 1. Take note of which side you were sleeping on when you wake from the nightmare. 2. Use the loo, empty bladder, splash some water on your face if you wish. (helps you sleep more deeply) 3. Drink a few ounces of water. (changes your biochemistry) 4. Lie back down to fall asleep on the opposite side you woke up on. (gravity will pool the blood to a different part of your brain causing different dreams) Weird personal note: I find I have mundane and problem solving or creative dreams sleeping on my left side. I have romantic, sexual, emotional dreams and nightmares on my right side. Other extras would be to read a few Psalms, meditate, pray, and such to relax, find peace. 1-4 has biological reasons for changing your dreams :) Good luck! :hf:
Yes I do tend to sleep on the right side of my bed. and I do stay hydrated. I drink plenty of water normally. I also do yoga, meditate, relax, etc. very regularly. So I find it odd that I have such evil dreams.
dreams can come from anywhere ...
So.. I keep having these awful dreams.. I usually am a very happy dreamer. I always have good dreams, never too negative.
But lately I have been dreaming some of the worst things I could imagine. Mainly murders. Or like me murdering someone that I care or have cared for dearly.. I'm very frightened as to why I have been bombarded with all these nightmares..
Does anyone possible have any ideas as to what is going on?? I really want it to stop...
