Original Message In the movie "Green Lantern", the name of the arch enemy was named Parallax. He possessed the power to make others afraid.

I don't understand the concept of parallax well enough to see how it relates to fear. I know parallax has to do with the bending of light, but beyond that I am absolutely clueless. Can anyone help me understand this as a literary reference?

It's kind of important for me to grasp this as best as possible, because my biggest problem in life is...well, fear. I just can't wrap my head around what parallax would have to do with fear. They didn't call him Parallax without a good reason.

Have at it. I await some interesting discussion about this.
