Original Message By mid-century, hot temperatures and flooding will be the norm in New York City, experts tell The New York Times.

Camilo Mora, a geography professor at the University of Hawaii, tells the newspaper that 2047 will be the year when extraordinarily hot and catastrophic weather will become the norm in New York City.

Climate change will give way to heat waves, hurricanes and flooding on the East Coast, the report said. Washington, D.C., for example, may be a flood zone by 2100, according to the report.
