Original Message I just went outside and distinctly smell a strong scent of ozone. I know this is somewhat normal when it rains or is going to rain but I have not noticed it in any of the past storms we've had in LA in years.

In fact I was just thinking how odd it was that I had not smelled the 'after it rains' smell even though we have gotten some decent rain this year.

We also used to have much stronger lightening storms in LA. Not like back east but much more then now. I used to sit and watch them outside our sliding glass window when I was a little kid. There's nothing to watch anymore :(
