Original Message I'm mechanically inclined, have rebuilt numerous engines, just don't have time currently with other projects going on, and frankly it probably is not worth it. I have a Honda Civic that is 16 years old, been a good car, taken care of religiously... anyways, I get a misfire in cylinder 1 yesterday, and over the past few months have noticed small amounts of coolant missing, thought perhaps it was a slight leak out one of the hoses, that was evaporating out - not making a puddle.

Anyways, misfire, and bubbles coming out over flow tank hose... yep blown head gasket...

No water in oil, oil clean. So, seems it is slightly leaking into cylinder 1.

I said what the hell, and used the DuPoint K&W fiber head gasket repair with "nano technology". I have to say, this morning I had no misfire and the vehicle actually ran very well. I know Honda's for that year had issues with the headgasket at cylinder 1. Anyone use the K&W product, and if so, how long have you been using it without issue? Will probably look for a pre owned certified Hyundai here in the next few months, god willing if the gasket holds...
