I was listening to the radio while i was driving and some guy was talking about modern historical figures and he just casually said "MLK definitely the most important American of the 20th century" and he wasn't challenged or anything by the other historians that were there.
Is King considered the most important American of the 20th century? I can think of several people just off the top of my head that would surely have to come before him.
