[quote:Pooka:MV8zOTYyNTk1XzgwMzY4NzkzXzJBQkFBQjBG] [quote:Crunch62:MV8zOTYyNTk1XzgwMzQ3ODMzX0Y5QUE0NzhF] I'm pretty sure a near-total lockdown will happen at some point. Decades of a hermit-like lifestyle has us prepared. I generally travel well off the beaten path anyway. [/quote] Off the beaten path is the only way to travel now! If one MUST travel at all, that is. Freeways were built to encircle cities in order to shut them down quickly and thoroughly. That will soon be used. We are in remarkably new territory in this country and most are handling it very poorly. Only preppers seem to have a small handle on what would be appropriate at this time - and that's having our own supplies and the means to protect them, all under our our own roofs, of whatever sort those may be. If you have a bug-out location and are not there yet - best get moving! If sheltering in place, have everything you need there, yesterday! Antifa has promised to destroy farm houses and cattle, and every little town now is under threat, as well. There is no safe place in the continental US. The corona virus has seeped into every corner and cul de sac, as well, and will be working overtime now with all the protesters and riot-goers. This is nothing like my country has always been. Continuation of another thread of wonderful people with the best ever ideas for practical prepping even for those with little money.
We discuss power outages including CME and EMP, heating and cooking methods, first aid, foods; we run disaster scenarios to see if we know what to do.
This is probably the only prepping thread a person would need, whether long-time prepper here to share, or newbie prepper here to learn and everyone in between.
