[quote:Coastie Patriot:MV8zOTYyNTk1Xzg2MTg5NTg1X0YwRDJBNjIw] having the industrial strength trash bags from hardware stores are beneficial too. you can wrap saplings in a circle and put the bag down thru the middle and make a raft. you can use as a sleeping bag to trap heat. dry storage to keep things dry cut it down the side and make a tent/tarp shelter. us it as a layer and barrier to waterproof a more permanent lean to shelter. Dollar stores are great too, I have bought dental floss for many uses, tampons for packing gauze and fire starter, hand sanitizer for wound care and fire starter extender, saws, small crow bars, box cutters for skinning game, long burn candles, sterno, batteries and tons of other things. shower curtains for water proofing lean to or other wooden shelters Google $1 store preps for some other ideas [/quote]

Continuation of another thread of wonderful people with the best ever ideas for practical prepping even for those with little money.
We discuss power outages including CME and EMP, heating and cooking methods, first aid, foods; we run disaster scenarios to see if we know what to do.
This is probably the only prepping thread a person would need, whether long-time prepper here to share, or newbie prepper here to learn and everyone in between.
