I'm moving to a city of all things. But I'm a 'great grandfather' 8 generations running in Permaculture. I might even take a job just to get out of the house. We shall see. I can't directly link so you get this. A go to site every morning for me. https://fromthetrenchesworldreport.com/how-to-make-gunpowder/283919 Great site, great people. If I had to hat tip to all their finds...my hat would be worn out.
No man, don't do it! After leaving the city over 35 years ago, I look over the list to find a single reason to move back to the city. There aren't any.
I have found many. I'm okay with it. I'm a Permaculture designer with a great skill set in it. Country folks all think they 'get it' by reading an article. No snub to them but, it isn't that easy. So make a functional landscape in town, or pretend the whole thing doesn't exist because of rural ego's? 22 years I lived on an Island. All the men hated me coming around to do courses because all of a sudden their trained women made more sense then them and they got pissed off. Well, fuck them. Intelligence over vapid 'grandpappy taught me how to be equally poor' doesn't cut it for me. Urbanites will at least listen to novel ideas. The island folks...meh, not so much. I have cache, I've a name brand. So I could sit on an island rapidly filling up with rich pricks who want more junpier bushes or I can go to where people need/want to make best usage of their postage stamp lots. I'm Here2Help, not here to save my skin at the cost of others.
Continuation of another thread of wonderful people with the best ever ideas for practical prepping even for those with little money.
We discuss power outages including CME and EMP, heating and cooking methods, first aid, foods; we run disaster scenarios to see if we know what to do.
This is probably the only prepping thread a person would need, whether long-time prepper here to share, or newbie prepper here to learn and everyone in between.
