Original Message We've got some new pullets (young hens) and while at the feed store, I got some dried mealworms too.

Dried mealworms are like candy (or crack) for chickens.
They'e especially good for handfeeding, to get the birds used to humans. And the grand daughter loves to handfeed them anyway.

So I was reading the package, and saw a peanut allergen warning on the back:

This product produced in a facility that uses peanuts.

But then it dawned on me:
Dried mealworms must be processed on the same lines as the food made for humans.
