If you actually SAW "Joker" you'd know it's not someone shooting up a theater that anyone needs to be worried about.

First of all, 'Joker' in this specific iteration of who is he (Arthur Fleck in this case) is a metaphor for "The Anomaly" and how he/it really operates and got us here.
Even a disgruntled individual who may have planned to do a mass shooting in a theater, would have dropped that idea within the first 15 minutes of the movie, since they would end up relating to this guy.
Heath Ledger's depiction of "The Joker" was really, well, a joke in comparison to Joaquin Phoenix's depiction of the Joker. There's no big explosions, no elaborate operations, none of Heath Ledger's bullshit, just an organic reaction to a set of actions that required minimal effort besides the will to kill.
It's a gritty realistic film with ZERO CGI, a backdrop of a system that doesn't care about the poor and those who've fallen between the cracks of society, and gives inspiration to those who have to GO OUT INTO THE REAL WORLD, and get their piece of revenge.
Sure, Liberal Democrats, Center Democrats, Independents, Liberal Republicans, Center Republicans, Conservatives and Far Right Republicans all went to see the movie. There's something you need to know though.
There are no heros in Joker, nobody coming to save the day, only a mentally ill man who has been pushed to the brink, and eventually inadvertently starts a MOVEMENT based on actions that aligned with the ideals of others like himself in society.
It's this which makes it a dangerous movie.
