[quote:Deplorably Charlotte:MV80MjE1MTUzXzc2Njc2OTA1XzEwQjY1QjMz] [quote:dschis1000:MV80MjE1MTUzXzc2NjcyODc4X0FGRTY0QzI5] Liberal Californians are some of the dumbest and digbatiest people you ever see. A lot of people feel the same way. That is the belly of liberal beast. I've been to LA and San Fran years ago and was happy to be able to leave. Those liberal types in Cali are the worst (except DC) for ignoring the obvious.
Last valentine's day I was in Encinitas visiting a friend. The power went out on half of the 101 Main St. business district. Restaurants shut down and sent cooks home. Sound reasonable? After TEN MINUTES of no power, they just sent home their cooks and waitstaff having no idea why the power was out and if it was something that would be repaired rather fast. These business owners just shut it all down, within 10 minutes, leaving customers walking around in circles. Walking from bar to restaurant in the rain (rain is another thing that freaks them out) looking for a place to eat. Finally called an Uber to take us to the next town over, where at the Chart House business was booming. Power did go back on within the hour. They lost all that business-they didn't care. Complacent. An ounce of imagination and ingenuity would have worked with the situation (only one place did that) but they are absolutely devoid of thinking outside the box. Valentine's Day. The non natives were speechless as to how they function on a daily basis.
It appears from this groups perspective and I would think the majority of the left's supporters feel this way, that they are uniquely able to determine how moral you are and it is their place to force their sence of morality on others.
When asked to offer a phrase that depicted a " Trump Voter", they all came up with derogatory terms, in the process displaying that they collectively believe themselves to be superior in that sence.
Which is a difficult pill to swallow , if as their catch cry say's " We are all equal".
How can both those positions exist at the same time in their heads , both positions are the antipathy of each other.
This is the other side of the political divide in the US.
