[quote:NOLAangel:MV80MzIwMjQ0Xzc4NzI2MjQ0X0QwNzIzREEx] [quote:girlie45:MV80MzIwMjQ0Xzc4NzI2MDQwX0Q0OUIyREQ2] My sister called me tonight to let me know that they just tested her Mother in law. They live in New Iberia. Her Mother in law is 70, and always on the go. She never stops, so when covid hit Louisiana, she just did not take it seriously. She began feeling poorly 4 days ago, and went to the urgent care and failed the flu test. -- Hello, Btw, aren't we supposed to test everyone now? So they suggested a covid test and self quarantined her. I am hopeful she is negative, my sister was around her about 6 days ago, and their community only has two cases. I just can't imagine how she would have gotten it unless it's a Church thing, seems like the churches seem to be getting hit. Thing is, we could nip this in the bud if we just started knocking tests out. Instead, we make it remarkably difficult to get one.
The test results seem to be taking a long time to come back here in New Orleans. My friend's dad (88 years old but healthy otherwise) was admitted to a New Orleans Hospital with mild seizures. While there he developed a fever and fluid on his lungs so he was transferred to a COVID-19 unit. 6 days later and there is still no results on his COVID-19 test but he is much more likely to get it being in that unit. It is sad and frustrating.
