[quote:Texas Ranger:MV80NDA0NjcwXzgwMjk5NTk0X0RDRkJFNTcz] [quote:Anonymous Coward 77412151:MV80NDA0NjcwXzgwMjA1NzQ5XzUzQTZFRTI0] [quote:Texas Ranger:MV80NDA0NjcwXzgwMTk2MzI0X0U1NzUyMkYy] [quote:Jake:MV80NDA0NjcwXzgwMTk2MDA3XzRDMENBRjkz] Here is the problem, every police officer in America is trained to use that technique. Its the training that needs to change not the cops
You are incorrect. As a former officer myself I can honestly say that I never received ANY training like that to restrain any subject/suspect.
When were you trained? I’ve heard many ex and current cops talk about the training changed after Rodney King to more of a smother technique and are starting to see breathing problems for suspects using this smother technique. And if this isn’t taught then why can I turn on any episode of Cops and see cops with their knees in peoples backs? I’ve seen countless people on their faces, arms out wide surrendering, only to have cops bum rush them and jump on their backs. Completely unnecessary but I’ve seen it countless times. Knees in necks, upper back, lower back. This is absolutely being taught. Btw, Mr ex cop, in your opinion, was it the guy everyone blames for the death with his knee in Floyd’s neck that killed him? Or was it the cop that had both knees in George’s back? PS. Until we see the whole video, it’s been cut, showing George resisting we won’t have the whole picture. Just my opinion, but if your resisting arrest and fighting the cops, and it takes more cops to rush in and subdue you I’m not going to have any energy to find personal outrage at the outcome. Stop fighting, stop resisting, get in the damn car, live to fight another day.
I would be willing to say that BOTH officer's actions contributed to Floyd's unfortunate death. I'm not a coroner......but when I heard the Autopsy findings from the Dr that the family hired....to me it makes perfect sense as to the cause of death. My training? Army (Military Police)...additional training at Langley, Virginia.....Central Texas Police Academy (where I became the Self Defense Instructor after graduating the Peace Officer's Course)…...also the Field Training Officer for my County's Sheriff Department. I hear you in your PS comments. What that cop and the others did (like just standing there indifferent to Floyd's pleas for help)....is inexcusable. I haven't seen all the videos either....but THAT doesn't change my feelings about the situation. Just totally wrong.
The one person who can bring justice in the George Floyd case is Democrat District Attorney Michael Freeman - yet, he "does not support a criminal charge":

Hennepin County District Attorney on George Floyd Case: “Evidence Does Not Support a Criminal Charge” (VIDEO)
“I will say this, that the video is graphic, and horrific and terrible and no person should do that. But my job in the end is to prove that he violated a criminal statute, and there is other evidence that DOES NOT SUPPORT A CRIMINAL CHARGE. We need to wade through all of that evidence.”

So, are Democrats not prosecuting because they want to do the opposite of whatever Trump says? President Trump wants justice for George Floyd:
"At my request, the FBI and the Department of Justice are already well into an investigation as to the very sad and tragic death in Minnesota of George Floyd...."
