She still isn't right. She is having problems with speech and cognitive function, and can't drive, either. I catch her staring into space frequently. IMO, the UTI wasn't the cause of this, I think she might have had a stroke in the bathroom. She told me there was no warning at all when she lost consciousness, it was just an immediate thing like someone flipped a switch. She sees her GP monday morning. My grandson Kacee is starting to feel better. My other grandson, Robbie the stinker, was expelled from school because he wouldn't go most of the time. He did get a job, but he needs his education too.
Hi all... hope every one is well... Tiger, Check this site and see if you can relate to these symptoms, There is a strong possibility it may be a TIA (Transient ischaemic attack. But of course your practitioner will diagnose Monday. I would suggest you use an `oximeter` and take various readings I would advise to take regular readings particularly the oxy levels and present this on monday also. I dont want to go into things here but if you feel the link provided gives sufficient evidence of a TIA then drop me a PM. https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/transient-ischaemic-attack-tia/
Adding to CR's post: If it was a mild stroke and they have not addressed the problem, she could very well continue to have TIA's. Many times people with TIA's will have periods of confusion and may explain her staring into space. Besides monitoring her oxygen levels with the pulse ox, you can check her blood pressure in both arms. Many people with TIA's will have a normal B/P in one arm and in the other arm it will be elevated.
Everyone who needs Prayer and Fellowship with others, please feel free to post your requests or questions. I will do my best to answer your requests, as will many other people who come to this thread.
I am not perfect, just a sometimes disobedient Child of God. I am Orthodox, having arrived at the Faith that has sustained me on this lifelong journey, for the Peace of my Soul.
I will be as fair as possible in my moderation of this thread, but I will not tolerate any off color or questionable posts. This thread has a purpose, a purpose to help one another through this journey on this rock, both Spiritually and in other aspects. You are NOT alone !
I have been a member of GLP for 13 years, lurking around for 2 years before I joined.I have been very open as to the trials my family and I have gone through. It has been Faith and Prayer that has gotten us through it all.
God Bless You All !!!
