[quote:Louis in Richmond:MV80NTAwOTA3XzgzNzQ2MzQwXzZCNTI1Q0E5] [quote:Lance Roseman From BC:MV80NTAwOTA3XzgzNzQ2MTIyX0QwODI0RTZE] [quote:Louis in Richmond:MV80NTAwOTA3XzgzNzQ1OTgzXzQxQ0M2ODI3] I don't know if this is a blessing or curse: earlier this year I lost all perception of the passage of time. I awakened at 6:03 AM. took my insulin, took my prescriptions, used the bathroom, and let the cats out. I now see it is 10:15 AM I didn't sleep, I did less than ten minutes of doing anything. Where did the time go? That's a rhetorical question. Everything exists in the eternal present, I just lost my place in it for what we call four hours. Four hours is nothing if compared to eternity.
Time has become maleable. I get confused by days of the week and stick to moon cycles. Waxing gibbous. Full in 10 sleeps. Having no set schedule makes for some funky stuff mentally. It is always now. For instance the clock says it it 7:07 am and that the sunrise is in 23 minutes. Techincally, I should be asleep but I had sort of a party night so I am not. The lockdown thing (meaningless to me really) has morphed time into spime. Ie space and time are no longer seperate entities. As an aside...Louis...did you find your need for insulin lessened? RSO did that for a woman in Toronto. She had two weeks (back in the day) of not needing it at all. I dunno what to eat today. I should prolly sleep (but prolly won't)I ate saganaki and some dips last night/whatever...perhaps I should go for salmon patties? There is fresh dill in the fridge. I dunno...that for like 10-12 hours from now.
I find I have less of an appetite with the RSO. I have had to cut my all day insulin from 50 to 35 units and use less now when I eat. So yes, it has reduced the need for insulin and the loss of feeling in my hands and feet while using the anti-inflammatory has lessened, I can feel again.
Everyone who needs Prayer and Fellowship with others, please feel free to post your requests or questions. I will do my best to answer your requests, as will many other people who come to this thread.
I am not perfect, just a sometimes disobedient Child of God. I am Orthodox, having arrived at the Faith that has sustained me on this lifelong journey, for the Peace of my Soul.
I will be as fair as possible in my moderation of this thread, but I will not tolerate any off color or questionable posts. This thread has a purpose, a purpose to help one another through this journey on this rock, both Spiritually and in other aspects. You are NOT alone !
I have been a member of GLP for 13 years, lurking around for 2 years before I joined.I have been very open as to the trials my family and I have gone through. It has been Faith and Prayer that has gotten us through it all.
God Bless You All !!!
