Millions of Americans can expect a mild and dry winter this year as La Niña's drought conditions continue, per the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
The NOAA on Thursday released its new U.S. Winter Outlook, in which the federal agency predicted warmer-than-average temperatures except for a handful of states in the Northwest.
It comes after the NOAA's National Centers for Environmental Information revealed that last month was Earth's hottest September in 140 years.
And as more than 45 per cent of the U.S. is currently experiencing drought.
