Original Message Essential worker here! Been working day in day out since the pandemic started. Early summer there were talks of hazard pay being given to us, and I know a lot of companies have been paying their essential workers a bit more for the “risk” they are in.

I know people have numerous opinions on the pandemic and everything that goes along with it..

Sure you may not believe it’s real, or it’s been hyped up.. But these lockdowns have gone on for almost a year. At first it seemed certain we’d get hazard pay. But with all the games they have played with the stimulus checks we kind of lost hope.

I’m starting to get pissed now. The threat of the pandemic hasn’t gone away, even with vaccines coming. Lockdowns are closure of businesses are still in effect.

Why should we have to acknowledge their rules when they won’t even acknowledge the risk many are being put in daily without compensation...
