This “best hope” is the original opposition, the one that the conspirators control. Johnny-come-lately groups will normally be seen as less capable than the ones that have been around since the beginning, so fewer will join or contribute to these new, legitimate, organic campaigns.
 
    In the end, to enact the conspirator's goals, the controlled opposition group just needs to sabotage themselves in some believable way. All that is needed is one or two people at the top of these controlled opposition groups to be “in the know” and positioned well enough to sabotage it from within.
