It’s the higher quality cinnamon as compared to cassia, but since Ceylon only grows around Sri Lanka it costs a little more and is harder to find. https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/ceylon-vs-cassia-cinnamon :book: - - - - - -
I tried it to treat my diabetes with.. after going thru a couple jars of it.. I bought a whole pound much cheaper on the web. It did not help the diabetes.. in fact cheap shit cinnamon did some... but I can't take that amount of cheap.. because of the coumarin in it.. I have a blood clotting disorder and too much regular cinnamon causes me to bleed.. even both my eyes bled once when I was on cinnamon caps... I like the regular cinnamon better as to taste.. so I went back to the higher quality after my pound of organic ceylon was gone... since it had no effect on the diabetes... I just use cinnamon lightly ... if I am using too much.. a first sign is bruising from my insulin shots which I take several times a day....
Yeah, I used a couple of dashes on my oatmeal so I don’t overdo it. I think eaither cinnamon is good for lowering your blood pressure and bad cholesterol. So your blood has trouble clotting? So do you have to stay away from green teas as well? Both on my parents have had strokes and are on thinners so they can’t have green tea or any other food that helps to thin the blood. :book: - - - - - -
green tea does not effect the disorder I inherited.. aspirin sure does...and thinning the blood needs to go as a medical term.. the only thin blood is anemia... the drugs delay clotting.. they do not thin. I even had a hysterectomy when I was done with child bearing be stop blood lose from the disorder. I had no idea until the testing for my disorder.. that aspirin was an issue.. I hemorhagged during some surgeries before I knew.Including my first C section.. I bled bad.. and my milk never came in. I spent time in the ER growing up to stop nosebleeds. and I still remember my tonsilectomy at age 6 or so... and the immense bleeding from that.. to the point of my throwing up the blood for a day or so... into a large mixing bowl.. my mother did NOTHING.. Coffee with milk and sugar,
Homemade Raspberry Jam
And some slices of ham.
(There, I rhymed.)
What have you decided on for your breakfast?
Out of curiosity, which food-wise, is endless.
Thanks,
