[quote:Anonymous Coward 79112896:MV80Njk5ODY2Xzg1NTQ1NDQwX0Y2REMwMzMw] [quote:Secretizer:MV80Njk5ODY2Xzg1NTQ1MjQ2XzFCMzJEQUI3] I hear you. But - none of us here would have thought in 2019 how easy it would be to get all the churches closed for 11 months and to get everyone to comply with wearing masks everywhere. Or to have a court system completely ignore in-your-face electoral fraud. And it has happened before in history such as Australia. We need to be vigiliant and not think it can't happen here or that they will at least try something we haven't thought of yet.
It needs to become an issue that both sides come together on. Either people have the right to defend their life, or the entire police system needs to changed. Currently, the police DO NOT HAVE A DUTY TO DEFEND YOU. [quote:https://www.nytimes.com/2005/06/28/politics/justices-rule-police-do-not-have-a-constitutional-duty-to-protect.html] June 28, 2005 The Supreme Court ruled on Monday that the police did not have a constitutional duty to protect a person from harm, even a woman who had obtained a court-issued protective order against a violent husband making an arrest mandatory for a violation.
The next time you're arguing with someone on the other inside, instead of bringing up Trump, bring that up - Hopefully we can get some unity.
