Heritability of intelligence in African-Americans 1. IQ of Africans in Sub-Saharan Africa IQ of Africans oscillates around a value of 71, we will later see that this value is partly due to an impact of undernourishment, the intellectual genotype of Africans is evaluated by Lynn at an IQ of 80, ie the value obtained by Africans living in sufficient nutrient conditions. We will later look at this extrapolated figure of 80.
Undernourishment my ass. The USA has the fattest black people on the planet. Why are they still as dumb as the next guy?
Nourishment does not have anything to do with obesity. In fact, it means you eat too many low quality high carbohydrate foods. Too many carbohydrates are bad for the brain, nervous system, heart ,eyes, endocrine system in general. Too many high carbohydrates food make it hard to focus as it screws with your insulin production. So you have a lot of high and lows and even your vision is effected. Sad thing is a lot of school menus' are based of the food pyramids which as been debunked and is better for pig feed. Kids should not be having many carbs for breakfast as they are not going out to work in fields for quick energy. They are going to school where they will be sitting most of the day. They should not be eating cereal in the morning for breakfast. They should be eating high protein low carbs food like ham and eggs and a piece of fruit (apples, blueberries/ rasberries, pears, kiwi and a some almond or cows milk milk. Anyone should be allowed to snack on nuts which are filling and are loaded with minerals that help with brain development and good overall health and weight management. Peanut butter or turkey and cheese on whole grain mixed oat or wheat bread is healthy with a side of carrots and celery with ranch dressing. Another piece of fruit is not bad either. Keeping carbs in the form of non process foods is the best and simplest way for good physical and mental health. But not cinnamon buns, cereal with chocolate milk, nacho cheese, pizza, fries, tacos, fish sticks, chicken nuggets, burgers, burrito's, SPAGETTI, MACARONI, hotdogs, corn " party foods" are really not healthy meals at all. Cheap and affordable and worthless if the kids don't eat their fruit and vegetables on their trays as many don't. But so many kids not only get a poor breakfast and lunch at school they get it at home too with to much fruit juice, cool-aid, sugary items and instant type consumable food that are high in carbs. Even though really it would not take that much longer to prepare a healthy meal. The issue is cost and the perception of time in preparing and cleaning up. Plus quality food means more trips to the grocery store during the week depending on freshness when it was sold.
The Irish at the turn of the century also had low IQ's due to they ate a lot high carbohydrate, low nutritional value potatoes. But once they adapted more American diets of meat, vegetable, fruits, grains, eggs, they become normative in their IQ level to the rest of the population of Americans. Too many carbs is just not good for brain development.
Abstract
Wicherts, Dolan, and van der Maas (2009) contend that the average IQ of sub-Saharan Africans is about 80.
A critical evaluation of the studies presented by WDM shows that many of these are based on unrepresentative elite samples. We show that studies of 29 acceptably representative samples on tests other than the Progressive Matrices give a sub-Saharan Africa IQ of 69; studies of the most satisfactory representative samples on the Standard Progressive Matrices give an IQ of 66; studies of 23 acceptably representative samples on the Colored Progressive Matrices give an IQ of 71.
The international studies of mathematics, science, and reading give a sub-Saharan African IQ of 66.
The four data sets can be averaged to give an IQ of 68 as the best reading of the IQ in sub-Saharan Africa.
