Sitting in a shopping mall having lunch. Everyone wearing masks at every venue. Temperature checks at every door before you go in. Scan ins for contact tracing. The result? No cases, not even one in more than six weeks everything is open. Except for tourist related things because the border is sealed and you must do two weeks of government supervised quarantine at a hotel if you come in, the economy is good and people have jobs. Nobody is bitching about it, they are proud that the country has done so well with an organized plan from the beginning and they feel patriotic in doing whatever it takes to keep the virus down. No Karens one way or the other. Life is good. Just sayin
Yeah, sounds great.. :norespect:
It is great. Glad I'm here instead of some cold, infected locked down and infected shithole back in my country of birth. I should add that as I sit here finishing up lunch, the eye candy ain't bad here either. Even with masks on.
So just to make sure I understand: >Borders are closed. >Show your papers to enter any store. >Contact tracing. >Feel patriotic about it. This is all sounding vaguely familiar..
Yes, the border was closed to all foreigners at the very beginning. You can now come even as a tourist if you want, but it's a mandatory two week quarantine at a designated hotel with two tests. You don't have to show any papers to enter any store but you do have to temp check. Contract tracing when someone turns up sick, but there hasn't been a single case of that here in almost two months Yes, they feel patriotic about it here and everyone wants to do their part when they see how poorly other countries have done, the depressed economies, joblessness, lockdowns, joblessness and sick people. They don't want their country to become a shithole like that.
Aliso, everyone is together here on this. No Karens, no pathetic bitching, wing or politicization of it, left or right. That's one of the best parts.
Am I fucking reading this right Thailand?! YOU'RE saying that it's "patriotic" to advocate for wearing masks?!?!
No, you are not "fucking reading that right". What I said was that people here feel good about their country and patriotic about what they have done and what they continue to do to prevent the country from becoming one of those countries with depressed economies, joblessness, lockdowns, and sick people. They don't want their country to become a shithole like that. There have been a couple of outbreaks recently due to illegal Burmese immigrants sneaking in who were sick and spread it They were isolated hospitalised until they were well and deported. People are patriotic about that as well. Everyone seems unified about it and nobody is whining, such as you see on and on in this thread.
Thailand: 83 deaths, 366 cases/1 million, 8 deaths/1 million United States: 512,590 deaths, 86,758 cases/1 million, 1,543 deaths/1 million https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/#countries Yep, I guess the people on Thailand do feel good about how their country has handled it.
Lying signs and wonders: ascribing a set of signs to a FALSE claim None of those measures had anything to do with their figures. When the uk can force a45 cycle test on to its population and another country is free to quietly use a 25 cycle test...you’d get those same exact results.
Welp, all the data are fake because it's all part of a massive and secret global conspiracy. That's it. End of discussion. lol
Original Message
I'm in CA right now, and it's crazy how many people wear a mask EVERYWHERE - even alone in their cars, or walking outside.
They don't take the mask off once they are alone in their car.
They don't take it off once they are outside, where there is no requirement to wear a mask.
Why??
They wear the mask because they like it.
They LOVE it.
They NEED it.
They are ADDICTED to wearing a mask now, even though it was forced upon them initially.
The will NEVER stop wearing the mask, even if Fauci tells them they can stop.
Things will escalate quickly now. We have shown how easily we can be controlled and reprogrammed.
Not only will we not resist, we will comply eagerly and crave being controlled.
This will not end well....
