For many years after the Event, he just wanted to be left alone.
He had a chance to leave, but decided he needed to stay. Become a warrior. Teach everyone the reality in that they live, the truth of life. Without them knowing it, they are deceived.
After all a 10,000 yr lasting clock is being made in a mountain not too far from where it happened. What made him special? Only God is special.
It took some time, but they realized he cannot be murdered. Whatever is above sacrifices entire timelines for the sake of one. It’s why history has changed so much.
He, and he alone, will usher in the end times, when he decides it’s time. The keys of this reality, and all the ones nearby, have been given unto him.
