[quote:Paul Drake:MV80NzM3Nzc3Xzg2NjAzNDM1XzYzOTJENjFC] [quote:BananaFighter:MV80NzM3Nzc3Xzk0RjU2MzYx] So I just got a call where the guy was asking if I'd be open to selling my house. Guy said he was from a "real estate investment group". Pretty odd if you ask me. I told him I'd sell for $1,000,000.00. The weird part was he didn't flinch he just wanted to confirm the address. I wouldn't confirm my address so he said thanks and hung up. I googled the number and a bunch of Chinese writing showed up. What's really going on? [/quote] I get a phone call like that every couple weeks for a house that my name is nowhere on the deed or mortgage. I live in the house they're inquiring about but my name is not in any way associated with owning it. So every time I ask where they got my number and they always hang up on me. LOL.... Not funny really - one of them stayed on the line and said they bought the information from a company. And yes, every single one of those phone calls is from Asian accent voices. We live in an area that is 65% Asian now. My husband lived here all his life and inherited the house from his mother - this happened like in the last 20 years or so. At city council meetings the entire city council is Asian and won't let white people speak, told them China owns this city now. I've been complaining heavily to my husband that this is NOT the neighborhood he grew up in and its time to leave but he won't hear of it - too sentimental about this house and likes having original tax rate....
