Think about it. The only way is to take down the whole electrical grid and stop all electricity to stop generating to take them all down. All servers are not connected to one switch.
Take down the 13 DNS servers and it goes down.
You don't need DNS servers to go to any website. There is no way to take down the internet completely. I guess if every internet provider turns off service that might shut down a huge chunk of it.
Whatever happens, they have to keep up what they use for themselves for govt operations. So I would guess some backbone would remain. I’m not sure how you can selectively stop traffic. Others here may know. Banks would still prob be able to operate, inter-government systems.. unless these things operate on a separate network. Would be cool if someone who knows would chime in. Could you build a communication App through cellular networks? Either way that would limit yourself to established contacts and groups.
Before there were DNS servers on the Internet you just went to a website and/or computer on the Internet using their Internet Protocol address. If the DNS servers go down GLP will be down for sure. Noone can reach GLP due to CloudFlare's IP address protection(s). Sooo... good luck should the DNS servers all go down at once!
I believe it is very possible that they will shut down the internet to the general public after the SHTF.
They discuss this plan in Event 201 (that took place in October 2019) - Listen starts at 8 minutes 15 seconds:
After SHTF and people start dropping like flies, nobody will know what’s going on or be able to exchange information.
Time to go back to Ham radios?
