A March 2 health order lifted the 300-person capacity limit for banquet halls and catering facilities. The order didn't explicitly mention dancing, but an Ohio Department of Health spokeswoman confirmed the order replaced a November health order temporarily banning socializing in congregate areas and dancing." BUT elsewhere in Ohio: "And that’s why Shaffer’s recent decision to officially ban “dirty dancing” at Springfield High dances, including the May 15 prom, is so controversial with students — the man has dared to take a stand against culture itself." https://www.springfieldnewssun.com/news/local/springfield-high-bans-dirty-dancing-prom/FepktHRao6rxdrCcfELe1K/ [/quote]

"The Blanchester Public Schools board of education voted Monday night to relax its masking rules, directly contradicting the Ohio Department of Health’s masking requirements for educational settings."
and
"The state of Ohio requires students to wear masks in and outside during school functions. Exemptions can be granted for health or religious reasons, eating and drinking, or participating in sports, among other reasons.
Blanchester’s board voted to immediately allow students and staff to remove their masks outdoors and on buses with a window open. On June 1, the district also will allow students and staff to remove masks indoors."
This is the decision of the school board and, apparently, the school superintendent has no say in the matter. I hope other school districts follow suit soon.
