[quote:Anonymous Coward 75888806:MV80ODAzOTgyXzg3ODQ1NTA3XzlGNTU3RDU3] [quote:Anonymous Coward 80480165:MV80ODAzOTgyXzg3ODQ1MTM3X0IzNzE4NjQ4] The songs embedded above and below here point out another thing that's been lost. No matter how good-looking women were back then (and previously), they had to tell men that the men were valuable and cherished. Both of these women are calling out to the men they like explaining why these women will be good partners. None of that is necessary anymore when women don't need to put any effort out to get as many good dates as they want online. [/quote] I haven't heard a song where a female singer praised a man in ages. I just did a search for 2021 love songs, and I chose this Dua Lipa song because I know she's a good artist. I would say this song is a shadow of the songs I just discussed. Dua Lipa is explaining the importance of her partner to him but only in the most self-centered way possible. There's no acknowledgement of the man being special like in the previous songs. The entire song is about Dua Lipa. That's exactly how it is these days with every female singer I know of like Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, and Katy Perry. Women like this used to be everywhere in the 90s in America. I took it for granted, and these types are extinct now.
