[quote:Anonymous Coward 80447056:MV80ODEyMTkxXzg3Nzk4OTU3XzdDQjhGNDAx] [quote:The Årtist:MV80ODEyMTkxXzg3NzkzNzg1X0ZBODc0MTZC] You people need to wake up and stop thinking that even though you're right about something that you can win. You won't. BTC is and will be labeled a disaster and will not ever be allowed to replace anything in the economy in a real official sanctioned way. At best you'll be able to keep your money in it, at worst it will be propagandized into the most evil dangerous thing ever and the mainstream won't buy in. You must realize they are working on or have already chosen the real crypto that will be "the one" that is implemented and used globally for day to day transactions. I don't know what that crypto is, but it sure as shit isn't BTC. If you think otherwise you're kidding yourself. I'm not saying BTC is bad evil or whatever, I'm saying they will never allow something to replace their power... they'll nuke the entire planet before they allow that to happen. Short of the globe moving away from the dollar and the complete dismantling of the US, BTC is going nowhere in terms of retail use. They will demonize the fuck out it to scare everyone into whatever crypto they've chosen. All that said, I think crypto has one last bull market in the 2024-2026 years before it's all said and done. We'll see how it pans out.
This is somewhat how I see it too but the problem is any waste is bad and it is wasteful when there are many other physical alternatives that don't require power to maintain. There's a premium being wasted to keep btc and all other s*coins alive (sub your own spells for *). There will be a global currency and fair distribution of resources across the planet eventually. All jobs will surround maintaining distribution and that's all. Enough "profits", the world needs no more.
