[quote:Anonymous Coward 79125906:MV80ODIwMTgxXzg3OTUwOTc1XzQ3N0QxQzYx] [quote:Doctor Congo:MV80ODIwMTgxXzg3OTUwOTA2XzkxMzVEQjFD] You know I am going to tell stories about interesting things I have seen and done. My biggest claim to fame by far was when I was around 10-12 years old. My home town became the capitol of the Free French, but there were a lot of German spies in town. The Germans owned the Cameroon until after WW1 but there were still a lot of German families and estates up there, not far from French Congo. Me and bunch of other kids were used as couriers to get messages between the various embassies etc. We knew all the shortcuts and places that only a kid would fit so we would be given a message and told where to go and who to give the message to. It was extremely fun and adventurous as you would imagine. There were a lot of Americans in the city at that time, and I learned English at a very young age from my friends. The younger you are the easier it is to learn a language. That came in handy because some of my medical school classes were in English.
Sounds like an ideal pastime for a young boy, a pure fantasy come to life. Unless and until you were to be caught at it.
