A CULT, but not a Culture. Can they define culture or name an example of one? Because if they can, we have some business to take care of.
Learn history. The original age of consent in the United States was 10 in most U.S. states and 7 in Delaware: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ages_of_consent_in_the_United_States#History Being a Republic, that means a majority of America supported it. inb4 "life expectancy" - no, you're confusing lifespan with life expectancy. (If you made it past infancy you generally lived to old age - even in ancient times). https://www.ancient-origins.net/news-evolution-human-origins/life-expectancy-myth-and-why-many-ancient-humans-lived-long-077889 It was raised in the early 1900s in reaction to rampant abuse. It was tied in with the marriage laws. It was more commonplace at the time for families to "marry off" their daughters to say, a wealthy farmer the next town over. However, they typically did NOT procreate until she reached child bearing age. Right or wrong? Debatable. Often times the parents marrying their daughters off did not have the means to continue raising or to educate their daughters so this was a way to give their daughters an opportunity they might not otherwise have. The husband might provide money for an education and in exchange, his wife would handle housework, making clothes, and meals. Sex typically wasn't part of the deal until she got much older. Obviously, this got changed due to abuse and the advent of public school systems....
