[quote:Anonymous Coward 76446914:MV80ODkyOTQwXzg5Mzc0MzE5X0REQjBFRkI3] I know that the drivers have to be certified specifically for this type of thing and screened by the DOD to carry these types of loads. Family member drives these trucks. Some type of anti terrorist training. Cant remember any more than that. Getting old. I do know that the trucks are refrigerated so if the vials list temperature they probably are no good. If it was the vaccine itself probably a couple of million gone. Other things would be blood to be tested etc which would also be a biohazard. I’m guessing it was tests coming from Maryland going to Chicago or wherever but what do I know. [/quote]

On Friday, WV Metro News published an article titled "Truck that crashed on I-79 was carrying Moderna vaccine" which has since been pulled. It is available on Wayback, but I won't paste the link here.
It states:
"The West Virginia Center for Preparedness helped recover the vaccine, but it is unknown how much was saved.
The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department said the driver lost control, struck a concrete barrier and went 30-feet down an embankment.
The driver was trapped for a brief period of time before being transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital with minor injuries."
DoD took over the situation?

UPDATE:
I found a live instance of the article on the WV Metro News site. Apparently they deleted the old one and replaced it with a version that includes an update, so no cover-up on the part of the publisher in that regard.
