[quote:hankie:MV80OTA0MDU4Xzg5NTg3ODk2XzM3ODcxMjNE] [quote:ClawIII:MV80OTA0MDU4Xzg5NTgzMTI0X0JBQ0UwNjAy] God bless you! Ephesians 6:10-24 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; 19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. 21 But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things: 22 Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts. 23 Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 24 Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.
This is all correct only to add, this whole thing makes me think of Job, the oldest story they found in the Bible. It tells all the things and the people who tempted Job and his loose of family and his friends and his fortune. He also lost his heath. All because he would not turn his back on God, as God knew he would not do so. A lot of people are feeling the Trials of Job now.
I am part of a non profit society. We are made up of diverse people of faith. I happen to be an ordained minister (Rev.)
Today I resigned overseeing the place we have in the DTES of Vancouver, it is a much needed outreach in Canada's most impoverished and addicted / afflicted neighborhoods.
I knew that the following was coming when I woke up this morning and when we where at lunch it was clear they where having a time of it looking into my eyes or so I sensed.
After lunch and when we're back at our loft space. the subject of whether I have had a COVID jab was brought up. I said to the person asking me that "It is unlawful for you to ask or to require of me my private medical information but you are my friend so I will tell you this, you already know the answer to that question don't you?
It was said the foundation is requiring that we all be double jabbed and have proof of vaccination. I said I see, well then I will tell you now officially I am tendering my resignation. I said furthermore; I am not volunteering to participate in a clinical trial for an experimental genetic therapy. I mentioned Nuremberg and informed consent, and that I had informed myself and made a determination on the matter.
I said I will host this evenings group and let them know we are no longer welcomed here. They then said you are welcomed as long as you are jabbed. I said like I said I will let my group know we are no longer welcomed.
The person I was speaking with counsels a lot of nurses and they said you know that I counsel a lot of nurses and.... I then said with all due respect I am not interested.
Then the look on their face changed and they said bitterly "it is because you do not care about anyone else."
I then said you are free to believe what you will or like.
I then said as my hand was on the door to leave this issue is not between me and you, it a matter separate from us both. I love you and as always I wish you and yours the very best.
I then walked away.
Sad.
