What are some specific things that would make it very difficult in those places?
I live in Las Vegas. My ex-wife has primary custody of our daughters and I will not leave them nor will I ..... anyway .... before thanksgiving I foresee there being a federal declaration, whether it be from the white house, the cdc, the tsa, the nhtsa, whomever, that 'closes' the federal interstate highway system (the 'eisenhower interstate highway system') to all but those with essential travel (truckers hauling freight), military, government, and those with special travel documents (immigrants/the sophisticated elite). the states will be expected (pressured/coerced) into stationing state troopers at the entrance ramps to these highways. at the same time interstate air/bus/rail travel will also be stopped with the same exemptions. state governors will take this as incentive to also stop air/bus/rail travel within their states and then station troopers on the highways and larger roads that cross state lines but don't fall under federal authority, leaving only some of the smaller crossings open. for me and my daughters that will mean turning a relatively short drive out of state into an hours long odyssey over roads that aren't necessarily always well-maintained. not impossible, just harder. same could be said for those that live near the mississippi. it may mean a few hours added travel just to find an open river crossing. if you're still in hawaii, since there is absolutely no road outlet, you're fucked if you don't currently have a plane ticket out or own your own boat. at least that is my interpretation of where this is heading.
Yes, the closed interstate has already been proposed in MSM news. I bet you're correct. :DOOMSTREET:
