My wife is a 13 yr. veteran OR Nurse, Telemetry certified. I can guarantee you that her level of experience and skill is not replaced by a new grad. You have absolutely no idea what you are even talking about. God help the poor souls who have to be cared for by the new grads too. Truth is 50% will buckle and quit under the immense pressure it will take to be a Nurse in these conditions.
You are absolutely correct. I am an OR nurse, former ICU nurse. New grads may be textbook competent, but real world experience and aging knowledge from experienced nurses is absolutely paramount. New grads placed in the wrong position may lead to great injury or death. The most dangerous time in a hospital is just after med school graduation. And that’s doctors. Imagine nurses. I am basically fucked as I refuse the vax and have an October 31 deadline. Any religious exemption knowledge would be happily accepted. Found out even the CEO and two of the main or we delayed vax until the Biden mandate. They didn’t trust it. But the money is waaaaay to big for them. They can’t risk losing it. Only about 15 of us in the OR remain unvaxxed. They’re all ready to walk. I’m not sure. I’m hoping that a legal challenge ensues. And for that I’m hopeful because of Biden’s chief of staffs “the ultimate work around” comment.
Thank you for sharing! I'm also hoping for this to get hung up in courts short-term and longer term everyone just stops complying. I have no legal expertise, but in my search I found this form to be my favorite. Be sure to customize as needed so it represents your SINCERE & DEEPLY HELD BELIEFS. https://faith-freedom.com/vaccine-exemption
Take a look at some of the recent headlines and celebrate the Americans standing up.
Let me be clear - I do not wish bad outcomes for our healthcare system or patients.
However, I do wish for reform. Maybe that will only come when the ramifications of bad decisions are felt.
Do not get the [not] vaccine. Do not quit. You are not alone.

"While the majority of OGH's 840 employees are on record as being vaccinated (68 percent), there are still more than 250 employees who have chosen to decline vaccination, enough to push the hospital into a disaster status, should these employees elect to leave the organization as a result of the mandate. These are employees from nearly every department across the organization, including nursing, who have thus far declined vaccination. This situation is playing out not only here in the Southern Tier, but across New York state."
