[quote:What the fox hat:MV80OTIwNDQ5Xzg5OTE0MDA4XzZCMTRGOTk1] [quote:CTU.Agent:MV80OTIwNDQ5X0MwOUJEMzg1] This request for bids/quotes for temporary storage to hold excess dead bodies has been pointed out previously here on GLP: https://www.find-tender.service.gov.uk/Notice/013120-2021?origin=SearchResults&p=1 People have claimed that this is SOP, and is done every few years. My question is — has London planned for this situation in the past? Is this SOP? I've done some web searches and can only find references to the request for this year, even when narrowing the search to before 2020.
Check out De Boer structures they have offered temporary morgues and mass casualty handling as a package for quite a few years now, they also built one within the confines of one of the military barracks in central London some time ago (sorry i can't remember which one it was). If you go through the tenders via the web link and search for mass casualty handling you'll find some other authorities that have put out tenders for similar, you'll also find West Mids putting out a tender for a fleet of vehicles for mass casualty handling vehicles which ARE NOT ambulances in the traditional sense All seems to be part of the emergency planning/civil contingencies stuff, however i wouldn't discount it as solely being confined to local authority emergency planning given the current situation we find ourselves in,The nightingales wer a pre cursor and perhaps trial run for the coming winter of lots of people dropping like flies who had previoisly partaken of the miracles in a syringe couple that with the social unrest being manufactured with food and fuel shortages and they may very well be banging thse up at a plac near you fastr than you'd like to see
