When asked by the lawyer how to attain eternal life, Jesus let him answer his own question which was written in the Law.
Jesus then confirmed his answer by saying "do this and you will live."
Nothing was said about the need to accept his sacrificial death... nothing was said about a cross.... nothing was said that you must believe in Himself.
Was he confused? or did he lie?
