What was smallpox, a disease we've already eliminated, doing at a Merck lab? I guess they were weaponizing it.
It's time to start thinking of how to fight weaponized smallpox. What readily available remedies (not vaccine) can prophylax or cure smallpox? Then we'll have to worry about the weaponized version, but at least we'll be able to protect ourselves from the basic virus.
