[quote:Anonymous Coward 2621281:MV80OTkxMDIzXzkxMzU5MDc5XzY0NTlDRkRC] I'm signing in and posting some uncle Intel off of my thread because this is my turf. I'm south of you in western WA. Yes, old as dirt. This is going to be doomy and not mildly so. This is information is purely for educational purposes. This is an Arctic blast. We've had them before. According to Uncle Intel what makes this one different is the Cascade volcanoes are starting to wake up and I'm not talking Mt St Helens round two. The ground is staying warm but the air is cold. The snow falling will melt when it hits the ground and freeze, becoming an ice storm. The ice will do a lot of damage with more chances of power outages. Extensive power outages that last a long time to repair. So plan to be in the dark for a couple of weeks from this storm. Yes there's more to come, winter has just started. The volcanic activity will go into high gear in the middle of February. Shasta and those north are registering movement. OR's behemoth Axle Seamount has been swarming. Anyone down wind from these volcanoes can expect stormy weather. And again, not the cozy curl-up-by-the-fire kind; Record breaking winds, temps, rainfall and lightning kind of storms. Just a heads up. Situational awareness. Things can change in a New York's minute. Now back to your regular programming.. Have a safe and happy Holidays! [/quote]

We are staying at Delta Grove Campground on Cultus Lake until next Wednesday.
Never before in recorded history has it been this cold this early in the season.
We purchased a 100 lb propane tank and have 2 30 lb tanks to keep the furnace going.
Feel free to post information about your area during this unprecedented cold snap and I will do the same
We are lakeside here so maybe I will get to put my skates on
