[quote:rob2:MV80OTk3ODMwXzkxNDY1NjA2XzIzMDkwMDBG] im rural here in Central Florida and so many people have chickens and pigs and farm animals. one day i was sitting outside, just enjoying the bird songs from the trees when i realized what else i was hearing... it was like a giant circle in which each rooster would crow his fool head off, and they were literally taking turns. i listened to the path the crowing was taking. i could hear far off roosters crowing their turns and they finally made their way back to my street and the crowing circle started all over again. it was fascinating to me becuase normally i filter out those background sounds but this time i really listened to them. i learned there are MANY more roosters in my area than i originally thought.way more. How do you live like this? Now I'm up every day at 4am, so I had to start going to sleep at 10 pm. It's a really loud rooster as well.
I took a walk and found out the bird lives free range. They don't put it in a chicken house at night. That muffs the sounds for neighbors.
If I bought a home then found out my neighbors allowed roosters to crow outside at 4 am I'd be so pissed off.
I once owned a home for a few months. When I attempted to move in, a hunter showed up in my backyard one morning. I was so afraid I had to leave the house and sell it.
