People need to to get used to it even if they don't expect it. You have the choice of what school to put your kid in. Why don't you just leave people alone. What other types of people do you hate? Just Lgbtq or are you racist as well? Just curious [/quote] Here's the truth: Every generation has a segment of young people who gravitate towards alternative, fringe identities, because; - like a going-bald person shaving their heads to pretend it was a style choice and not just a cruel trick of nature, people who feel unattractive and generally out of place, use alternative personality affectations to accentuate their out-of-placeness, as it feels better to think of it as a conscious rejection of 'normal', then the reality that you just got dealt a raw hand in the game of attractiveness. - it's a way for people who feel a need to feel special or different, to feel special or different. - they find themselves in a peer group of people behaving and thinking a certain way, and mirror neurons do what they do, and voila, magically they are now saying and doing the same thing their peers are doing. From Greasers to Goths, every single generation has had their version of this. The reason why older people are the most skeptical of this gender fad, is that unlike younger people, they actually KNOW exactly what is happening, because they went through a form of it themselves, watched their kids go through their form of it, etc. The problem with it this time, is that one of the fundamental traits of this particular set of 'personality enhancing affectations', is that it demands acknowledgement that it's a real thing. But it's not. Everyone over 40 can see what this person *really* is. An unattractive oddball, indulging a fantasy that they're actually a super special snowflake. "I'm no *ordinary* person from the binary spectrum. I'm *special* and *unique* because I identify as Xim/Xer." It's a coping mechanism. And the sad reality is, there's nothing wrong with being an oddball, and this person would have been so much better received by the world, if Xim/Xer was just willing to say 'yeah, I'm not that attractive, I'm not popular, this is me, take it or leave it'. Most people aren't particularly attractive, or popular. We just accept it, and be ourselves. The people who instead chose to put on this narcissistic spectacle, are as transparent as a window.
